Our Love Story

Brandon and I met when I was just 15 years old. His friend had a crush on me and for weeks had been trying to get me to go on a date with him. I wasn't interested in more than a friendship but reluctantly agreed to meet up with him and a friend. I drug along my girlfriend for support , because when you are 15 you can not go anywhere without your friends :).
We arrived at a charity bowling event for special olympics and surprise surprise, Brandon was there. We seemed to hit it off and he asked for my number, not to my face of course(he asked his friend). He never called, so I did.
Long story short, we had a lot of late night phone calls, talking about who knows what. We didn't go to the same school and after just a few weeks I "dumped" him. I was 15, way too young to know what I was letting go.
I have to say though, that it is a very good thing we did not stay together because realistically we probably wouldn't be together now. We were polar opposites in high school and probably would not have gotten along too well. :) Now, I see that it is perfect that we are opposites because we balance each other out and bring out things in one another that we didn't know were there.
We ran into eachother again three years later, a few months before I was set to graduate high school (he already had).  We easily fell into conversation and everything felt "right". Once we had established a friendship we started dating and the rest is history.

On our honeymoon in Cancun

That was almost nine years ago! We have been married for four years and have two beautiful children. It has not always been a piece of cake. Let's face it, marriage is hard work but when you find the one you are meant to be with, it is for better or worse and always completely worth it. :)
and here we are now.......

  3. What a great story! It's funny how the right people can meet at the wrong time and then find each other again later in life!
